Name: * The Ambercourt Glade *
Also Called: * Melithra's Hollow *
__The Place__
Deep within an elder forest where moonlight drips like silver nectar lies The Ambercourt Glade—a fae dominion hidden behind curtains of flowering thorns. The air hums constantly, not with sound alone, but with memory. Flowers bloom black, gold, and violet, heavy with honey that never spoils. Bees—large, luminous, and intelligent—drift like living lanterns between petals and carved wax shrines.
No mortal path leads here twice.
__The Fae of the Hive__
The fae of Ambercourt are known as Mellifae—beings bound to pollen, wax, and promise. Their wings shimmer like stained glass dipped in honey. They speak softly, but every word is a contract.
They believe:
- Honey is memory
- Wax is law
- Stings are mercy
To taste the honey is to remember things you never lived. To bleed within the grove is to be known forever.
__The Queen__
Queen Exya, the Thorn-Crowned, rules the court.
She wears a diadem of living briars dripping gold. Her throne is grown, not built—woven of petrified flowers and sacred comb. Her eyes glow amber, and her voice causes blossoms to open and close.
She was once a Seelie fae, but when mortals burned her grove, she fed them honey mixed with grief and turned her court Unseelie by vow.
She does not forgive.
She does not forget.
She waits.
__Sacred Laws of Ambercourt__
- Never take honey without leaving blood.
- Never crush a bee. (The forest will remember.)
- Never speak your true name aloud.
- Never follow a song unless you are willing to stay.
Breaking a law does not mean death—it means belonging.
__Offerings the Court Accepts__
- Wildflowers picked under moonlight
- Gold thread or rings
- A secret you’ve never told
- A promise you intend to break
The bees judge the offering. If they hum low, you may pass. If they go silent—run.
__The Curse of Sweet Return__
Any mortal who leaves the Ambercourt will crave honey for the rest of their life. With every taste, they dream of the grove—and with each dream, a little more of them returns.
Eventually, they stop waking up.
Their bodies are found deep in the forest, wrapped in flowers, lips gold-stained, smiling.
__Whispered Warning__
“Follow not the golden bloom,
Nor drink the hive’s embrace.
For honey binds the heart too tight,
And time forgets your face.”
